Just around the corner from Diagon Alley lies a dark, twisting alleyway devoted to the Dark Arts: Knockturn Alley. The wares sold there a bit dodgy and the wizards hanging around behave fairly suspiciously as well. From the shops and the street vendors one can purchase, among other things, shrunken heads, poisonous candles, human-looking fingernails, and Flesh-Eating Slug Repellent.

The birthplace of the great Godric Gryffindor and the famous Harry Potter. For over a thousand years it has been home to notable wizards and witches but is mostly known for being the site of Voldemort's first downfall. Within the town are the post offices and other shops you would expect to find in any small town alongside the graveyard where many famous names are buried.

Below the school are the dark dungeons hidden under the lake. The dark corridors are haunted with ghosts, the Bloody Baron spending the majority of his time skulking around the the narrow corriders and darkness seems to follow any visitor.

| The Great Hall
The Great Hall is the centre of school activity. A large room with a high cieling, decorated like the sky, the room normally houses four long tables - a table to hold each Hogwarts House. At the far end of the Hall is the High Table, the place where the teachers and Headmaster eat their dinners so that they can watch over their students.

The higher you go, the more confusing! The staircases seem more playful, changing more often, and are more winding and twisting. A passing student could get lost fairly easily, but there is always a friendly portrait to point you in the right direction.

The highest and coldest part of the school. It takes a lot of effort to climb those long, winding staircases a student can't help but be pleased at their progress. Thankfully, the stairs so high in the school are less likely to move.

The Quidditch Pitch is the place where the whole school gathers during the year to watch the houses go head to head to win the Quidditch Cup. The teams also come here to practice and get into perfect shape to thrash each other when the times comes around.

The Clock Tower is a large room filled with cogs and wheels devoted to keeping the large Clock running smoothly. Surprisingly, it's the perfect place to relax and let out a little steam after a long day.

The Courtyard is a small space just outside the main hall. With a design much like a pateo, benches and chairs spread out, it's a perfect place to meet friends and chat or to sit alone and read on those bright mornings.

The Dark Forest is the most forbidden part of Hogwarts school. With large trees hiding the sun it always feels cold and dark, no matter what time of day it is. Of course this place is out of bounds to students but that isn't going to stop them...

| The Black Lake
The Black Lake is the lake that streaches over the grounds of Hogwarts. Home of the Giant Squid, it's not normally a place that students would venture near to. Thankfully, the lake freezes over in winter, offering the students the perfect place to relax in the colder months.

| Owlery
The Owlery is the place to go to send a letter of any kind. The pets of the students naturally spend their time up here being fed and watered, but if you don't have your own owl there's also the possibility of using a school one instead.

The Care Of Magical Creatures section of the grounds is a large stretch of field where the Professor has room to show off any kind of animal. From a large paddock to hold the beasts to a small hut for written lessons, it's the perfect area to have a great time.

| Hog's Head
Located a block or so off High Street, the Hog's Head Inn has been a fixture of Hogsmeade for hundreds of years. A worn-out wooden sign hangs over the door, advertising with a wild boar's severed head leaking blood onto the white cloth around it. It's known for its cheapness, at least relative to the Three Broomsticks down the street. It is owned and run by Aberforth Dumbledore.

| Honeydukes Sweetshop
A large sweetshop filled filled with all kinds of sweets, magical and muggle. The store is bright and beautiful and is decorated with all kinds of light banners and labelled bottles. Down in the cellar of the shop, amidst the boxes and wooden crates and known to only a select few people, is a trap door in the dusty floor - which opens to reveal a secret passageway to Hogwarts.
